Sophia Al-Maria is an artist, writer, and filmmaker. Her video work has been exhibited at the Whitney Museum and Tate Britain among others. She has an upcoming solo show at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Qatar in 2022. She has written several books including The Girl Who Fell to Earth, Virgin With a Memory and Sad Sack. She currently lives and works in London.
