
I don’t remember where this photo was taken, but it’s fitting that it’s by the sea. When I became a parent my father told me that now I was my daughter’s anchor. It resonated with me deeply, but even more so after he passed away earlier this year. I understood the weight of such a responsibility when I lost my anchor, my dad. Now, I don’t float about as aimlessly, but some days, when the grief is overwhelming, I do.
