Lily Jue Sheng is a film artist/worker and informal caregiver. 伊 was born in Shanghai, China, a fuzzy place within their breath and remembering. Sheng often uses personal voice and writing to sort through the noise of language attrition, code-switching, and place attachment, to give texture to everyday surroundings and time. They also collaborate, garden, and volunteer with various anti-displacement efforts around Chinatown and Lower East Side in their spare time.
