Mark Verabioff (b. 1963) is a Canadian-born, visual cultural combatant working and living in Los Angeles. Spanning over four decades, Verabioff’s fine art practice has been anchored in deep exploration of the aesthetic and political power of using words as images. Prior to his move to Los Angeles in 2001, Verabioff lived and worked for the greater part of a decade in New York where he regularly performed “guerrilla actions” in public spaces, alongside screenings of seminal single-channel videotapes in galleries throughout the city.
